While I had a great birthday on Sunday, I had a less than productive day on Monday. In fact, I was kind of a sleepy mess! (And it’s not because I was out being a wild birthday girl.)

You all will laugh: I only slept three and a half hours on Sunday night. After my birthday, I went to bed at 12. But I was so excited by seeing all my friends (and because I had so many sweets), I couldn’t get to sleep! And I teach at 8:30 am, which means I can’t ever sleep in. Ugh, I swear I am like a 5-year-old child that gets too wound up and then crashes. Sigh.
Anyway, Tuesday is a new dawn and new day! After all that sugar and celebrating, I am excited to start fresh and be productive this week. I actually have my dissertation prospectus due in 6 weeks (my summary of what I will write about), and I need to get on top of that! Honestly, I have been so excited about learning how to blog and playing on my blog that I’ve neglected my other work! Did this happen to anyone else?! I feel so silly being quasi-obsessed!
And unfortunately, I don’t have a new recipe for you from yesterday (because I was so sleepy!), but my honey and I did make a second semi-homemade pizza (and not the steak salad we had planned on our Meal planner). We forgot we had the second crust to eat up! This time, we made a more traditional pie with marinara sauce, turkey pepperoni, green bell pepper, mozzarella cheese, and onion. We both agree: this pizza was good, but not as good as the fancy pesto pizza from Saturday!
